You've only been listening for a few months then. That OpenSolaris is the
development effort for the next release of Solaris has always been the case.
It's been that way for over 5 years. (That it has always been the case has
meant that it's not necessary to shout it from the rooftops all the time.)

It is not any time since the release date, because the published release
date is "first half of calendar year 2010", ie, before the end of June.
