What: OpenSolaris Hackathon!
When: Saturday 31st July & Sunday 1st August 2010, 10am to 9pm both days
Where: London, UK (For full address see below) (Also Worldwide on IRC)

Misc: Food & Drinks will be provided both days, and the Hackathon will be 
streamed live on the internet, as well as there being an Open IRC channel for 
worldwide participation.

Description:

Apologies for the late notice, I'm proud to announce what will hopefully be 
many OpenSolaris Hackathons!

This event is open to all, primarily to coders, hackers, sysadmins and 
interested parties of all levels who are interested in hacking the OpenSolaris 
source and getting involved with community projects surrounding OpenSolaris.

The content of the hackathon will primarily be driven by attendees, however 
some provisional topics may include:

OpenSolaris Development Process & History
Obtaining the source
Building OpenSolaris
Deep dive into core OpenSolaris technologies such as Zones, IPS
Deep dive into the components that make up OpenSolaris the distribution 
(Indiana)
Deep dive into the components of other OpenSolaris derived distributions

This is an exciting opportunity for people to get involved, to discover, share 
ideas and contribute to what is one of the most exciting operating systems 
available today!

The event is a 10 minute walk from London Bridge station or Borough Station and 
signs will be put up outside. We will also send phone contact details and a map 
to all registered participants before the event.
