Hello, I have some issues with my CPU and OpenSolaris: I am running a very low frequency, and my RAID-Z pool lag.
My hardware is: - Motherboard Tyan Toledo i3010W, with the latest 1.12 BIOS ( http://www.tyan.com/support_download_bios.aspx?model=S.S5197 ), - CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 (2x 2.66Ghz), present in the HCL of the motherboard ( http://www.tyan.com/support_download_cpu2.aspx?socketid=6 ), - 8GB of RAM. My OpenSolaris version is: # uname -a SunOS ZeblodServer 5.11 snv_130 i86pc i386 i86pc My CPU can run up to 2.66Ghz. But: # kstat cpu_info module: cpu_info instance: 0 name: cpu_info0 class: misc brand Intel(r) Core(tm)2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz chip_id 0 clock_MHz 2667 clog_id 0 core_id 0 cpu_type i386 crtime 69,182259277 current_clock_Hz 1000000000 current_cstate 1 family 6 fpu_type i387 compatible implementation x86 (chipid 0x0 GenuineIntel 6F6 family 6 model 15 step 6 clock 2667 MHz) model 15 ncore_per_chip 2 ncpu_per_chip 2 pkg_core_id 0 snaptime 2131,159153285 socket_type Unknown state on-line state_begin 1290166890 stepping 6 supported_frequencies_Hz 600000000:800000000:1000000000 supported_max_cstates 1 vendor_id GenuineIntel module: cpu_info instance: 1 name: cpu_info1 class: misc brand Intel(r) Core(tm)2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz chip_id 0 clock_MHz 2667 clog_id 1 core_id 1 cpu_type i386 crtime 73,86419178 current_clock_Hz 1000000000 current_cstate 0 family 6 fpu_type i387 compatible implementation x86 (chipid 0x0 GenuineIntel 6F6 family 6 model 15 step 6 clock 2667 MHz) model 15 ncore_per_chip 2 ncpu_per_chip 2 pkg_core_id 1 snaptime 2131,159969006 socket_type Unknown state on-line state_begin 1290166895 stepping 6 supported_frequencies_Hz 600000000:800000000:1000000000 supported_max_cstates 1 vendor_id GenuineIntel The only frequency available are 600Mhz, 800Mhz and 1Hgz. How can I go to 2.66Ghz? Thank you in advance for your answers, and sorry for my bad english. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
