I am facing an interesting issue with dtpad. I have NIS ( not NIS+) setup in my LAB. All machines are installed with Solaris 10. After logging on a particular machine locally. when i tried to open dtpad after a delay of 60 sec. I am getting error
"ttdt_open failed: TT_ERR_PROCID the process id passed is not valid." dtpad -standAlone works fine. But when i log on remotely to another machine using ssh, i am able to open dtpad by setting DISPLAY to local machine. am sure there a communication problem with tooltalk service. I googled for this eror . Some suggestions i got to clean tooltalk data base. How can i get resolve my problem. Thanks Naveen -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
