Great stuff. I saw something similar in OB but it was for nfs and contained
some syntax which didn't work for smb. Interestingly:
pfexec sharemgr set -P smb -p ro="*" zfs/spool/shares
resets the share name to the default spool_shares but that is easy to change
back again with:
pfexec sharemgr set -P smb -p name=shares zfs/spool/shares
Thank very much. I now have enough functionality to decomission my Ubuntu
server and use that hardware to set up an Opensolaris mirror. I know it can be
done but not sure how but that's for a later post after I have read some more.
