That's all right (kind of), there is a bug in the metacity build of snv111. See http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=8748 To solve the problem, you can download the fixed metacity from the link mentioned there ( http://www.gnome.org/~erwannc/bugs/8748/metacity ) and replace /usr/bin/metacity with that.
