I posted this at opensolaris.com a few days ago, but no one seemed to be able
to help, so I post here as well. Apologies if this is bad form!
I just installed 2009.6, everything works like a charm except for a couple of
things, but one is quite annoying. OpenSolaris reports I have sound (I have a
volume control and sound preferences), but I don't really have it. Looking at
the Device Driver Utility, I think the problem might be that it's reporting two
audio devices:
* ATI Technologies Inc RV635 Audio device [Radeon HD 3600 Series] -- driver
audiohd
* Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller -- driver
audiohd
But the first one isn't really an audio device, it's my graphics card!
Any hints about how to get rid of that first fake "audio device" or how to
configure the system? If you need the output of any commands to give more
information, just ask. Thanks in advance!
