I have NEC Express5800/110Gd on which I want to install OpenSolaris 2008.11.
I downloaded http://dlc.sun.com/osol/opensolaris/2008/11/osol-0811.iso, burned and booted with the disk. What I can get was just a white screen with a green "0" on top-left corner and "16. Italy ..." on the bottom line. Express5800/110Gd has XGI Technology Volari Z9s video chip onboard, which seems not properly detected by the liveCD and it cannot start live desktop. In addition, "text console" boot also fails. A question: How can I install OS2008.11 on such a difficult PC-server?
