I have a pair of X4540's running 2008.11, after enabling SMA (for SNMP
and traps), the service keeps crashing on both machines.
Here is the log output:
/var/svc/log/application-management-sma\:default.log
[ Dec 14 01:24:16 Executing start method ("/lib/svc/method/svc-sma"). ]
[ Dec 14 01:24:16 Method "start" exited with status 0. ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:41 Stopping because process dumped core. ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:41 Executing stop method (:kill). ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:41 Executing start method ("/lib/svc/method/svc-sma"). ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:41 Method "start" exited with status 0. ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:46 Stopping because process dumped core. ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:46 Executing stop method (:kill). ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:46 Executing start method ("/lib/svc/method/svc-sma"). ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:46 Method "start" exited with status 0. ]
[ Dec 14 02:23:50 Stopping because process dumped core. ]
And on and on and on.....
It'll usually crash several times at startup, and once it gets going,
it will run fine about about 1 hour, then core dump some more (seems
to be getting auto-restarted).
It usually crashes on the hour, almost on the dot.
I can't find any other logs that indicate anything else anomalous
going on that I can see. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you
