Yes, understood. I am attempting to connect via SSH version 2. No one should use SSH1 at this point. If I cannot get this solved, I need to give up on OpenSolaris and go to Solaris 10... or even Linux and wait until the next major build of OpenSolaris to try again. I've never had this much trouble connecting with ssh ever. The odd thing is the older OpenSolaris build works fine (but has that nasty kernel bug where the os panics under load).
