Hey Guys,

I noticed a problem in zfsacl/samba on Solaris 08/07 (Latest patch level) and
in a bind because of it. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get an
alternative Samba/zfsacl release for Solaris 08/07. Perhaps the source release
of samba 3.0.28 included in the latest opensolaris along with the ZFS module
(Of course a patch would make me very happy). Currently I can only get the ZFS
module in Samba 3.2. I am going to try and compile the 3.2 zfs module against
Samba 3.0.28 to see if I can get it going but of course this is not optimum on
a production server.

In case you are interested in the problem (Did notice one other unanswered
thread). If I setup an ACL on a folder allowing groupA as the only group to
rwxpdD on a folder I am allowed to access the folder, I can create files (but
not rename or delete them), I can create folders (but not rename them). Now, if
I take groupA and re-assign it to the group of the file using chgrp I can once
again access the directory but this time I can create, delete, rename files and
directories. I have verified this behavior on Solaris 08/07 SPARC and X86 and I
can also verify that this works properly in OpenSolaris 83a.
