Got a good response from Sun and problem fixed. Anybody else who gets this
problem needs to know. In a dual controller configuration, a volume is "owned"
by only one controller. If you try to use format to see it down the alternate
controller, you'll get lots of unintelligible errors. You HAVE to use MPXIO
with MPT on a SST 2530 with dual controllers. You CANNOT just use one link
between host and array. The documentation doesn't really make that clear enough
even if you just want to test the volume out.
