I would be very surprised if VMware supply the guest tools for Solaris as a source package. It will most likely be a binary package. I've not used Fusion, but I have used VMware Workstation and Server on Windows hosts, and on this platform the tools are supplied as a .tar.gz file. To install them I do something like this:
gunzip vmwaretools-solaris.tar.gz tar -xvf vmwaretools-solaris.tar cd vmwaretools ./install.sh Cheers Andrew. This message posted from opensolaris.org
