So you are experiencing something different. One of Craig's problems is that a PCI device causes a reboot when the system tries to reconfigure it (PCI enumeration/configuration phase two). That is why pci-reprog boot property solved this problem. Are you also experiencing a reboot? Does adding the -k option allows you to enter the kernel debugger?
