Hi I've installed a Netgear WPN311GE on Solaris 10. When I test with /usr/X11/bin/scanpci, I get the following, which seems to indicate the card is recognised by Solaris:
pci bus 0x0003 cardnum 0x02 function 0x00: vendor 0x168c device 0x0013 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC. Also, doing 'wificonfig -i ath0 scan' yields: essid bssid type encryption signallevel home 00:60:b3:a4:5d:99 access point wep 3 I'm able to invoke 'ifconfig ath0 plumb' but when I try and configure the network parameters, wificonfig simply outputs the usage info (as when wificonfig is invoked without parameters). Command is as follows: 'wificonfig -i ath0 createprofile test essid=home encryption=WEP wepkey1=12345' Is something not correct with the wificonfig parameters?
