[I seem to hit all the snags that one can hit! with live_upgrade] Okay, the word 'install/image' is wrong. What is needed is not the image, but the files. So I did # lofiadm -a /export/home/udippel/Sources/sol-nv-b95-x86-dvd.iso /dev/lofi/1 # mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/1 /mnt # /usr/lib/lu/lux86menu_propagate /mnt/ And what I got was: Validating the contents of the media </mnt/>. I had been bitten enough, and closed down with init 6, better safe than sorry. And at reboot, I got a - panick! So back to failsafe, the whole process once again, mount the activated BE, and - lucky! - the second reboot went through. Next I'll try nv93->nv95. [I hope and pray that Indiana will finally do away with the proprietary luupgrade, the crappiest piece of software I encountered in the last two years! - And I hope, that Indiana will achieve a bootable BE, after all. A BE bootable in a VM, e.g.] This message posted from opensolaris.org
