Ciao,
we have a semi-production system with indiana on it (i like it because we can
weekly update the image via pkg). All fine, but today we had to reboot to add a
qlogic HBA, and the system failed to boot.
It is stuck at
grub>

more precisely

GNU GRUB version 0.95
(614K lower / 3..... K Upper memory)
[Some hint about the grub prompt]

grub>

with no additional sign of live.

Since I am not expert in GRUB, is there a sequence of commands to restore the
situation?

Please note that it has snv94 since at least one week, and we were able to
reboot it correctly before. Only thing I did, and I feel I could have done
damages, has been to delete some zfs snapshots used by the pkg image-update
process, and probably the old rpool/opensolaris-1.

Was this the cause of the problems?
One you have a new rpool/opensolaris-2, is it safe to remove all the others,
namely rpool/opensolaris-1 and all its snapshots done before upgrading?

thanks

tommaso
