Now I have tried to disable the nvidia in xorg. but to no avail. The probing seems to go on; and started at boot: checking hardware against drivers without considering the config files. Now I have a proposal where someone might be able to help out: How does one uninstall a package in a not-mounted BE? I tried failsave, and pkginfo in /a/, but everything was empty, so that's not the way. Which is the way, please, to tell the starting system that NVDAgraphics is not installed?
