I'm using a Gateway laptop with a amd64 processor.
On boot, the powernowd service fails. svcs -xv returns:
svc:/site/powernow:default (Control AMD power states depending on CPU use.)
State: maintenance since Sat Aug 23 08:09:37 2008
Reason: Start method exited with $SMF_EXIT_ERR_FATAL.
See: http://sun.com/msg/SMF-8000-KS
See: /var/svc/log/site-powernow:default.log
Impact: This service is not running.
The default log says:
[ Aug 23 08:09:35 Enabled. ]
[ Aug 23 08:09:37 Executing start method ("/usr/sbin/powernowd"). ]
ioctl: No such device or address
[ Aug 23 08:09:37 Method "start" exited with status 95. ]
Do I have something configured wrong, or is this not working under a
amd64 processor?
Thanks,
~Rik
