Thank you guys. I have just one more questions..
By disabling gdm will it completely kill the X applications for example gnome and it's background processes like dbus and hal these hardware messengers are new.. it seems every OS is using them now.. To perhaps act like some auto hardware configurator like "plugin play" I don't see any use in it.. I've had some nasty login errors after killing a lot of svcs services lol which I'm scared to touch now So I kinda want to be sure which services I can shutdown that I don't need all I want is SSH access nothing more Which services can you guys advice me to shutdown that will not inturrupt or mess any login or any services for the OS to do what it does..
