Dear All, I took delivery of a new SunFire 5140 yesterday. I configured pre-installed Sol 10 last night and that seemed all o.k. This morning, I have loaded SXCE b96. I have enabled XDMCP logins.
However, I now get correct prompts, I can enter user name and password and Gnome tries to start. However, the bug reporting tools then leaps into life reporting crashes of various things. Nautilus crashed, and some other gnome tools crashed.... Has anyone else got b96 installed on a 5140 o.k.? I have b96 installed fine on two V240s (sun4u) I note the 5140 is a sun4v. I have done the installs via jumpstart and I did indeed specify sun4v for the 5140 whereas I had specified sun4u for the V240s. Any advice greatfully received Thanks, Dave Price.
