I tested installing vmtools in two versions of vmware workstation, 6.0.2 and
6.5.1, and ESXi 3.5u3, and met the problem. Pls get my results below.

For vmware wks 6.0.2:
1. There was no Xsession.d folder in system during installing vmtools.
2. Ctreted the folder, then asked me if create new xorg.conf. Chose 'Yes', the
got the installed successfully message. But after restart, black screen/
3. Created the folder Xsession.d, and chose 'No', got success message, the
restarted. It was working That is great, but the mouse cannot move outof the
window of vmware like in windows and linux guests.

For vmware wks 6.5.1, I tested the 6.0.2 version vm and 6.5.1 vm. I upgraded my
vmware wks to the new version, at first I uesd the vm created in old version to
test, and then created a new vm to test the installing again.
1. No message about the Xsession.d folder needed. There was no this folder
either, I think the new version of vmtools can create it itself, maybe.
2. For creating xorg.conf question, 'Yes' and 'No' are not working, though I
got the installing successfully message, black screen.

For ESXi 3.5u3, the result is same as wks 6.5.1, but creating Xsession.d needed.

Could someone give me a solution? Is it a bug of osol? or vmware products? I am
poor in english, pls give your message in sample english, ;), thx.

My version of osol is 2008.11.

BTW, the cdrom automount was not working all the time, in fact only one time
osol mount scuuessfully. It is not a big problem, I can run rmformat, the nount
myself. But it looks bad.

Thx in advanced.
