I believe that the main complication is that, as far as I know, the OpenSolaris installation program cannot destroy existing partitions. You probably have several partitions for SuSE; OpenSolaris puts everything into one ZFS partition. The easiest thing to do would probably be to use fdisk from a Linux live CD to do the repartitioning, replacing your Linux partitions (including swap) with one Solaris partition. Then you can start the install, saying what partition you want OpenSolaris to install into.
