No such problems here:

Perhaps your ~/.mozilla directory has some ownership or permission issues.
What happens if
you exit firefox then save that directory as ~/.mozilla.bak and start firefox
with a fresh ~/.mozilla
directory?
I have not used VNC for over 6 years.
