mine is even worse....I was booting to the live cd and it would not let me
select a language. keyboard did not work. I took the cd out and turned the
computer off. Booted computer and it took forever to get to the grub menu for
me to select ubuntu. When I got to the ubuntu log in screen I could not type
in my user name. the function keys for turning up the brightness on my laptop
worked fine, but not the letters or numbers. The mouse also worked fine. I
chose to restart and now my laptop will not even attempt to boot the bios, and
now I have a paperweight. Any help would be appreciated.
