One more question. I have an HP dv9530ef and upon opensolaris installation
there were no sound (except that annoying PC speaker beep that I would love to
disable permanently!). Anyway, I installed OSS drivers and running osstest
there was sound alright. The only problem is that there is no way to control
its volume. I can change the Gnome mixer settings but they have no effect
whatsoever. That's kinda problematic on a laptop having no other volume control.
And forgot to tell, on starting up, opensolaris says "Uknown HD codec" # ... or
something like that, twice.
Any suggestions?
