It happens when clicking on certain buttons on certain websites. I occasionally have it also on Mozilla running Solaris 10. The cores are always dumped in my home directory. So whenever one is created, I should move it to it won't be overwritten when a new one is created. As soon as it happens again I will compare them with pstack.
Could it also be helpful to compare the core dumps of Firefox crahses on different machines and different (Solaris) kernels, since in my case it's independent of kernel and machine. This message posted from opensolaris.org
