[osol-help] Unable to connect OpenSolaris and Windows through a hub

Forgot to mention the OpenSolaris version. Booted from live-cd 2008.05. uname 
-a command shows

SunOS opensolaris 5.11 snv_86 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris
