With respect, the installer present in OpenSolaris is the most intuitive that has been produced thus far. Have you actually tried just booting from the CD and "following your nose"? Once booted from the CD, you will have a desktop that has an icon which will allow you to install OpenSolaris onto your hard disk, should you wish to. I can't see anything very difficult about reaching at least this point... If you need further assistance after this point, then just ask. Most of it is straightforward - just answer the questions as best you can (obviously being careful about where you would like to install OpenSolaris on your hard disk), but the rest is intuitive.
