I have an external USB HDD partitioned,on /dev/sdb1(primary) I want to install
the last CD image of OpenSolaris, but I just want the installer to put the
software on the partition,I do not want it to change anything to my actual GRUB
boot setup(I want to change menu.lst manually to boot OpenSolaris).Recently,I
installed Ubuntu 9.10beta on /dev/sdb7 and the installer messed up to the boot
setup on my internal SSD drive (making it unbootable,I needed to correct the
problem at the grub prompt). Is this possible? Is there any option to do it?
