Sorry for the long silence, but I was kept busy by other chores ...
The chainloading problem is right now solved for me ... doesn't mean that there
is still a general problem.
I recently upgraded to Grub 2 (1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4) with Karmic Koala.
This version of Grob does no longer have problems chainloading the Grub which
came with OpenSolaris.
I will try to natively boot OpenSolaris by the Grub which came with Karmic ...
there is a zfs module to load ... maybe it works.
