Hello Juergen,

Unless you want to see German translated messages, you don't
need to install Languages CD contents.

Simply you can login with a German language locale selected
during GUI login (CDE or GDM2) and you will get German 
desktop where you can input and output German characters.

If you wish to have German translations all around, then, you will
have to install older versions of German localization packages in
the previous build of Languages CD or from the latest SX DVD...

BTW, I *think* you could download Solaris DVD image, lofiadm(1M)
mount it, and use it with localeadm(1) to install entier German
localization packages.
