Because the GNOME support to add those items depends on hooks in the
gdm display manager, but Solaris still uses dtlogin by default. If
you switch to gdm, they should become active, or if you wait a couple
more builds (nv_63 I think) they should become active when using dtlogin
too.

I seem to recall it not being available under users other than root
even when using GDM in the past...am I totally off?
