Hi,

AFAIK the VFE driver was written by Murayama San
( is the NIC fully supported by the VFE driver ? )

It appears thet the driver is not attached properly as your connections
tab is greyed out.

Try to do a fixed configuration instead of a DHCP config.

You need to edit the following files:

   /etc/hosts ( ip adress <tab> hostname )
/etc/nsswitch.conf ( hosts files dns & ipnodes files dns )
/etc/hostname.vfe0 ( name of the host ) ( at one occation I needed to
put the full DNS name in here with Murayama San's GANI driver )
/etc/resolv.conf ( point to your domain name and nameserver )
/etc/defaultrouter ( the IP address of the router. )
