Hi,

This is my first time ever installing opensolaris, so forgive me if my
questions sound naive. Also, please let me know if these questions should be
posted in another forum.

As mentioned, I installed opensolaris, and the followings are the
hardware/software information:
- Mother board: ASUS P5GC-MX/1333
- (embedded) Network Device: PCI Express 10/100M LAN controller
- OpenSolaris load: 09/07
- Desk top: GNOME

Problem:
- After installed, I login as root and bring up the "Network Setting" window in
attempt to configure network for this machine. In the "Connections" tab, there
is no network device listing (Come in from Linux background, normally there
would be a list of the NIC that the OS can detect). Also, the pulldown list
"Default gateway devices" was emptied.

Questions:
- What do I need to do in order for the OS to see my network device?
- Is there any "probe" utility available in the opensolaris load that will
enable the OS to detect the network device?
- Is there any network configuration document for opensolaris that I can take a
look?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Steve
