By the way, one of the PCIe slots has an angle adapter so I can attach a
graphical adapter to this one. Or since you mentioned 'workstation', I could
actually build the whole motherboard in a workstation frame so I would get rid
of the excessive vacuum cleaner sound.
In the end I paid this server 400 euro which is fairly price I think.

I first installed Solaris 10, but this was hanging all the time (upon init 5-6)
when updating.
So I installed OpenSolaris and for so far it runs fairly well. During
installation setup it just took extremely long before it could find the four
hard disks

Just two questions:
When adding two identical graphical adapters is there anything you need to take
into account?
I' m just wondering since you have two identical cards on the same bus. However
one is closer to the CPU(s) than the other.

This S2892 motherboard has RAID, did you also manage to configure this?
I had to disable the RAID to make the disks visible.
