[Sorry for now mainly talking to myself] With respect to the documentation on VirtualBox (PDF), these were the commands I had to issue:
$ gunzip -cd VirtualBox-1.6.2-SunOS_amd64.tar.gz | tar xvf - # pkgadd -G -d VirtualBoxKern-1.6.2-SunOS-r31466.pkg # pkgadd -G -d VirtualBox-1.6.2-SunOS-amd64-r31466.pkg The last gives an error: ## Executing postinstall script. Configuring VirtualBox kernel module... Cannot find module (vboxdrv). Aborting due to attach failure. Creating links... devfsadm: driver failed to attach: vboxdrv Done.
