Identify the root disk partition, probably /dev/dsk/d0t0d0s0. Boot the system from installation media or network boot to single-user. Mount the root disk partition on /a, edit /a/etc/shadow, remove root's password, reboot. Root will have a blank password, just hit the Enter key when asked for the password. Create a new password which you can remember. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
