I tried it on three computers running Solaris, not one single worked (one Q6600 
CPU, one 64-bit AMD and
one server with two dual core Opterons.)
All these machines have dual boot Linux installed and under this OS I can mount 
this same USB stick.
So I think it's not related to the BIOS or USB 1 or 2.
