It will keep up showing again.
Some people claim it can be because of a PC has multiple network adapters. I
have one server with three (one rehular and two gigabit) adapters and nwam
works fine.
There is a menu where you can configure the network, after first having
disabled nwam. There you still have the possibility between DHCP and a static
IP.
I have never used static IPs. If I'm correct it also needs to be reserved in
your router, otherwise the router might assign this address through dhcp to
another machine.
