Hi,I am using the latest version of Opensolaris, fully updated running as a Virtual Box machine off an OpenSuse 11.1 host. I am running this as a mail server and web server (for personal use only) Every now and then, around a couple of times per day when I try to connect to the machine oiver the WAN, either through web mail or the web site I experience slow connection speed, connecting through the LAN is no problem. So this tells me it's DNS type of issue. When I check the machine I find I need to change from Auto to manual network, enter the domain details in again, then go back to Auto and it's fine again for a while. I do this by System > Administration > Network. I select Manual and then the Network settings box pops up. I then select the General tab and find that the domain name area is blank. It does not appear to save the Domain name in Auto mode? How can I get it to keep the Domain name? Should I set the host name as FQDN (IE: pcname.domain-name.org)?
