I've successfully installed OpenSolaris on my Packard Bell EasyNote laptop.
There is however one major problem. The kernel uses only the maximum speed of
the CPU. This means that it is dissipating quite some heat. I don't mind for a
regular computer, but this is not good for a laptop.
In other words, OpenSolaris becomes useless since it drains all the power of
the battery in a very short time.

CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60

'kstat -m cpu_info' shows only one frequency: 2GHz

Is there no support in the Solaris kernel for multiple frequencies, like there
is for instance in the Intel Q6600?
