Hi All, i have recently installed 24GB (6x4GB) into a x4170, but when i run prtconf, i saw less than 24GB (23.99GB) ...
i remember i used to exact amounts reported (?) .. is this an opensolaris/x86 problem ? i've included the screen outputs of the various commands, is this normal ? thanks, sam > [gldw01]$ prtconf | head > System Configuration: Sun Microsystems i86pc > Memory size: 24568 Megabytes > System Peripherals (Software Nodes): > > i86pc > scsi_vhci, instance #0 > isa, instance #0 > motherboard (driver not attached) > asy, instance #0 (driver not attached) > motherboard (driver not attached) > ... > ... > [gldw01]$ bc -l > 24568/1024 > 23.99218750000000000000 > [gldw01]$ > [gldw01]$ cat /etc/release > OpenSolaris 2009.06 snv_111b X86 > Copyright 2009 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
