I have been trying for over a year to get some form of solaris running on this
machine. I would never recommend this product to anyone, support from Acer is
non-existant, but that's another subject. The best I can get is booting from a
Solaris or Opensolaris DVD. It proceeds with the install and will either not
find any drives or not find and 'Solaris Media in drive'.
I have even purchased another sata controller and haven't made any headway. I
have seen references to drivers for the sata controllers, which are nVidia, but
can't seem to locate them.
Has anyone been sucessful in installing any form on Solaris on this machine? I
can install CentOS, Fedora, Knoppix, but not Solaris. Thanks.
