I have a problem with video clips (YouTube, BBC etc) in Firefox. The picture
plays fine but I have no sound.
Adobe's site recognized that Flashplayer is installed and that I have the
latest version of libflashplayer.so (r45). It's in usr/lib/firefox/plugins with
the other plugin files.
If I run "audiotest" in a Terminal window I get
opensolaris:~$ audiotest
Sound subsystem and version: SunOS Audio 4.0 (0x00040003)
Platform: SunOS 5.11 snv_133 i86pc
*** Scanning sound adapter #1 ***
/dev/sound/usb_ac:0dsp (audio engine 0): usb_ac#0
- Performing audio playback test...
<left> ................OK
<right> ...............OK
<stereo> ..............OK
<measured sample rate 47951.00 Hz (-0.10%)>
*** Scanning sound adapter #2 ***
/dev/sound/audio810:0dsp (audio engine 1): audio810#0
- Performing audio playback test...
<left> ................OK
<right> ...............OK
<stereo> ..............OK
<measured sample rate 47943.00 Hz (-0.12%)>
usb_ac really is OK as I get sound on the speakers as indicated, but audio810
gives no sound.
I have the same problem with Opera (which recognizes I've got the Adobe
plugins).
Any suggestions much appreciated.
