Paul,

Check if you're still assigned the Primary Administrator profile by looking in /etc/user_attr. For example, here's my entry:
bleon...@opensolaris:/etc/security$ cat /etc/user_attr  | grep bleonard
bleonard::::type=normal;roles=root;profiles=Primary Administrator;defaultpriv=basic,dtrace_user,dtrace_proc,dtrace_kernel

Somehow I seem to have lost the permissions on my primary account

pa...@workdellgx620:~$ pfexec pkg image-update

pkg: Could not operate on /var/pkg/lock
because of insufficient permissions. Please try the command again using pfexec
or otherwise increase your privileges.
pa...@workdellgx620:~$ pa...@workdellgx620:~$ ls -l /var/pkg/lock -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2010-03-08 12:55 /var/pkg/lock

Anyone have any suggestions?

TIA Paul
