Thanks for your reply. Just now I was able to install open
solaris..
-> Earlier it was just a blank screen with mouse detected..
-> I have tried booting cd using "vsea installer" option (2nd option)
-> It booted successfully and ran LiveCD. I could get GUI.
-> When I ran DriverUtility
It said there is problem with two drivers, they are
1. INTEL Chipset 5 HECI driver
2. Broadcam Gigabit ethernet
-> I have DELL wireless lan card which is working fine so able to connect.
-> I have proceeded with installation and its successful. I am lot lot happy to
see a running OpenSolaris, its amazing... Thank you for the help..
-> Could you please throw some light on what exactly this "HECI driver" issue?
is it problem with this intel chipset? ( Apologies for ignorant questions )
