Heh - took us much longer to find the problem a few months ago when
someone walked into my office with a laptop in that state - you were
just lucky to not be the first person to have accidentally triggered
that. (There's a keyboard shortcut to enable it which you probably
accidentally triggered, though I don't remember what it is off hand.)
