You no longer need to set /etc/defaultrouter. Use `route -p` instead.

I believe you still need to touch /etc/netmasks (or /etc/inet/netmask, same
file). 

You do not need to create /etc/hostname.*. ipadm deals with that.

Could someone tell us where ipadm stores its data? If it's outside of /etc, I
need to set up a new backup target...
