JumpStart is a system for automatically installing Solaris 10 systems on
multiple hosts. It has a CLI and uses profile files to address different
hosts with different requirements. The Solaris 10 documentation noted
below describes it and Chapter 9 talks about installing a ZFS root pool.

I'm not sure about earlier versions of OpenSolaris, but Oracle Solaris
11 Express (build 151) uses something called Automated Installer for the
same purpose. You can find the documentation for that as noted below. It
has a comparison of JumpStart and Automated Installer.

Can anybody please explain what is mean by JumpStart Installation. As far as I
know Solaris installation with ZFS flar can be done only with JUmpStart
installation. Is that correct? If that is correct, what is Jumpstart
installation, how can we do?, Is JUmpstart installation can be done from any
server or any bootable CD?
